SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS

This summary provides key points from our Privacy Notice. You can find more detail on any of these topics in the section indicated, or by using the table of contents below.

Does DropChat send my messages or contacts to you? No. The messages you write, the phone numbers you save, and your send history are stored only on your own device. We operate no server and we never receive, upload, or transmit that content. Learn more about information stored on your device.

Does DropChat use my contacts? Only if you turn it on. Contact access is off by default. If you enable "Sync labels with contacts" in Settings, the app reads contact names on your device to label the numbers you have saved, and can save a number back to your address book at your request. This happens entirely on your device. Learn more about contacts.

Does DropChat show ads? Yes. DropChat is free and supported by advertising delivered by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and use your device's advertising identifier and certain device and usage information. Learn more about advertising.

Do we process any sensitive personal information? We do not process sensitive personal information such as racial or ethnic origins, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs.

Do we collect any information from third parties? We do not collect any information about you from third parties.

What are your rights? Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, and you can control or withdraw your advertising consent at any time from within the app. Learn more about your privacy rights.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Information stored on your device

In Short: DropChat stores your messages and numbers only on your device. We never receive them.

DropChat lets you save message templates and send them to a WhatsApp number without saving that number to your phone first. To do this, the app stores the following on your device, in local storage that only DropChat can read:

We do not operate a server for DropChat and we have no account system. None of the information above is transmitted to us or to anyone else. It stays on your device, and it is permanently deleted when you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.

Information collected automatically

In Short: Our advertising provider collects limited device information to serve ads.

We do not ourselves collect analytics or usage data. However, the advertising provider described in section 3 automatically receives certain information from your device — such as your advertising identifier, device type, operating system, coarse location derived from IP address, and how you interact with ads. This is described further in ADVERTISING AND ADVERTISING IDENTIFIERS.

Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.

2. HOW DOES DROPCHAT USE YOUR CONTACTS?

In Short: Contact access is optional, off by default, and never leaves your device.

DropChat can optionally use your device's contacts so that saved numbers show a familiar name instead of just digits. This feature is off by default. It is only used if you turn on "Sync labels with contacts" in Settings, or explicitly choose "Save to contacts" for a number.

When you enable it:

Your contact data is only used on your device. It is never uploaded, shared, sold, or transmitted to us or to any third party, and it is never used for advertising. You can withdraw contact access at any time by turning the setting off in DropChat, or by revoking the contacts permission in your device settings.

3. ADVERTISING AND ADVERTISING IDENTIFIERS

In Short: DropChat is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob, which uses your advertising ID.

DropChat displays advertising supplied by Google AdMob, a service provided by Google. To select and measure ads, Google may access and process:

This information is collected by Google, not by us, and is processed under Google's own privacy policy. We do not receive it and we cannot identify you from it. To understand how Google uses this data, please see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your choices. You can control advertising in the following ways:

Opting out of personalised ads does not remove ads from DropChat; it means the ads you see will be less relevant to you.

4. SENDING MESSAGES THROUGH WHATSAPP

In Short: DropChat hands your message to WhatsApp. What happens after that is governed by WhatsApp's own policy.

When you send a message, DropChat opens WhatsApp with the recipient number and your message text pre-filled. DropChat does not send the message itself — you still press send inside WhatsApp, and the message is delivered by WhatsApp, not by us.

Once your message is handed to WhatsApp, it is processed by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy, which you can read at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy. We have no visibility into whether the message was sent, delivered, or read. WhatsApp is not affiliated with us.

5. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: To make the app work on your device, and to show advertising that keeps it free.

We do not use your messages, numbers, or contacts for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making, and we do not sell them.

6. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In Short: We do not share your messages, numbers, or contacts with anyone.

We never sell your personal information. Because your messages, numbers, and contacts never leave your device, there is nothing for us to share. The only third parties involved in DropChat are:

Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

7. WHAT IS OUR STANCE ON THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES?

In Short: We are not responsible for the safety of any information you share with third parties that we link to or who advertise on our Services.

The Services may link to third-party websites, online services, or mobile applications and/or contain advertisements from third parties that are not affiliated with us and which may link to other websites, services, or applications. Accordingly, we do not make any guarantee regarding any such third parties, and we will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by the use of such third-party websites, services, or applications. The inclusion of a link towards a third-party website, service, or application does not imply an endorsement by us. We cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of data you provide to any third parties. Any data collected by third parties is not covered by this Privacy Notice. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties. You should review the policies of such third parties and contact them directly to respond to your questions.

8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: You control retention entirely, because the data is on your device.

Your messages, numbers, labels, send history, and settings are kept on your device for as long as you keep them. They are removed when you delete them in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall DropChat. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side.

Data processed by Google for advertising is retained according to Google's own retention practices, described in the Google Privacy Policy linked in section 3.

9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: DropChat is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 13 years of age, and DropChat is not designed for or directed at them. If we become aware that personal information from a user under 13 has been collected, we will take reasonable measures to delete it promptly. If you believe we may have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at business.bignitive@gmail.com.

10. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: You may review, change, or delete your data at any time, directly in the app.

Because DropChat stores your information on your own device rather than on our servers, you exercise most of your rights directly:

Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal, nor, where applicable law allows, processing conducted in reliance on lawful grounds other than consent.

If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at business.bignitive@gmail.com.

11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

12. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

13. HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?

If you have questions or comments about this notice, you may email us at business.bignitive@gmail.com.

14. HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE THE DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU?

Based on the applicable laws of your country, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, details about how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law.

Because DropChat stores your data only on your device, the fastest way to review, update, or delete it is directly in the app, as described in section 10. For any other request, please contact us at business.bignitive@gmail.com.
